This was an interesting book but the characters came off as a bit cold at times. Ashley was in it for revenge, nothing was going to change her mind and that was that. I totally respect where she came from and then Damon is a man who, even though he did bad things, he totally redeemed himself. I cant tell you how so you will have to read to find out how he does it. There is a twist and it is one that you would least expect. This is a short novella read –I would have liked to see more emotions between the main characters than at times the coldness. It did thaw out but the book was almost over. Overall, the passion, heat and fast pace of the story makes up for that coldness.
