Unraveled by Helen Hardt is
the 9th and final book in the "Steel Brothers" saga. This
continues the story of Ryan Steel and Ruby Lee. To fully enjoy this book,
you will need to have read the last two books (Shattered and Twisted) leading
up to this one. Those book have dealt with Ryan and Ruby story
leading up to this ending. This is also a dark romance story with
some trigger issues. Seriously this book took me down a dark and twisty
road but not to fear, there was light at the end of the tunnel, but getting
there was hard work! If you are new to the series, I want to tell you that it
is a DARK romantic suspense
series. There are some serious trigger issues and if that would be
an issue for you, then this may not be the book(s) for you.
Being that this was an epic
series to write, I know it had to be hard to wrap this up. In saying that, I
really was hoping to get perspectives from the other couples to see what
their thoughts were as this was the finale, the end but that really didn’t happen.
What we did get was Ryan and Ruby Lee’s thoughts majority of the time. Which
since this was their book and that was ok. It would have been nice to feature
the other couples but given this was the last book, I can understand why we didn’t
get them all. This was such a huge undertaking to wrap up the plot(s) from all
the books in the last book. There were major twists and turns that I didn’t see
coming. I was literally hanging on the edge of my couch with all that was going
on.
This was a fantastic wrap up
of conflict, turmoil, angst, heartbreak, pain, hope, passion, family
love and true love. All questions are answered and everything comes back
full circle. I don’t want to say more for fear of spoiling this review
and giving away spoilers to this fantastic book. This was an emotional
rollercoaster from start to finish. You don't want to miss the final chapter of
the Steel Brothers saga.
