Reckless by Lex Martin is a complex and emotional read. Ethan and Tori give off major feels in this story. This is Tori’s story- her sister’s story was told in Shameless . Tori and Ethan are two characters who are real, imperfect and so right for one another. They are each struggling in their personals lives with personal battles- Ethan with ending up a single dad, and has a messy divorce looming while Tori is recovering from a disastrous relationship that sent her reeling and she is just now getting her head above water. She is done being a joke and also being the family screw-up. Torus takes a job with Ethan to prove it to herself as well as her sister. As for Ethan, he knew he needed help with his children while he is working so he grudgingly accepts Tori as their nanny yet their instant spark, the chemistry is immediate. At first he didn’t want to hire her but with Tori being the sister of his friend's wife he figured he would have to give her a shot. Soon Tori and Ethan are connecting and this takes the reader down an emotional path as these two open up and start to see each other without all the past mistakes shadowing their vision. Ethan sees Tori as the woman he truly wants for she is all about family and kids compared to his soon to be ex-wife. Tori sees Ethan as a good and caring man, one who loves with all his heart compared to the bad examples in her past. When these two take the leap from Boss/employee to Boyfriend/Girlfriend, whoa look out for the fireworks!!! It is amazing and the heat that sizzles thru the pages is exhilarating. What’s is more beautiful is that Ethan never felt these feelings while married and Tori, well she never felt these feelings while in any of her previous relationships. But there are several events that cause several huge twists to happen in the story, where Ethan and Tori start second guessing their relationship. There is a nasty villainess in this story who is determined to make sure no one is happy. Will Tori and Ethan get their HEA ? Or are they doomed to repeat their mistakes over again ? I really recommend this story , for all the feels and the fantastic plot and the best book boyfriend Ethan. Tori is a beautiful woman who shows true grace in the face of tremendous pain. This is a must read story for 2018!!
