What a great start to a new series – this is Fighting Irish which is the first book in the Summerhaven Trio series which follows triplets Rory, Ian and Tierney Haven by author Katy Regnery. The 1st book in the new series is about Rory Haven. The book centers around Rory and his family's business, Summerhaven Resort and Camp. Both Rory Haven and Brittney Manison had spent their childhood camping at Summerhaven. Now they have grown up and fireworks blossom between the two. Brittany didn’t know that Rory had feelings for her back then when they were teenagers. Brittany is planning her wedding to another man and she wants to be married at the place that she had so much fun as a child- Summerhaven Resort and Camp. Rory is now running the family business after having to put aside his dreams, to help out when his mother got very ill and her health took a turn for the worse . Rory is stunned when he realizes who Britt is and the chemistry between them is immediate after all those years apart. Rory decides he will fight for the girl he had and still has feelings for. This is a fantastic 2nd chance childhood to adult romance read. There are some twists and turns in the story as these two characters navigate their way around their blossoming romance. Does Britt decide to get married or will she decide to give her new relationship with Rory a chance? Only way to find out is to take a leap and read this beautiful contemporary romance read. The plot is enticing, the characters are sweet, real, and so likeable and the scenery is amazing. What a joy to read and I look forward to the next book in this new series.
