START ME UP by J. Kenner is Book Four in the "Man of the Month" series. This is the story of Nolan Wood and Shelby Drake. This is a standalone book in the series. Shelby has all these plans that she wants to make happen—she wants to have a great job where she puts in a good hard day at work, on top of an awesome job she wants to marry and have kids. Shelby has just started dating a Professor named Alan who seems to fit all the criteria for the man she wants to date and be with except he is not exciting nor is there any huge sexual chemistry between them. During a bachelorette party at a bar she happens to meet Nolan, famous DJ who is all excitement and no commitments. Well Shelby has the excitement and sizzling sexual chemistry with Nolan and they end up having one awesome 1 night stand. But that 1 night turns into multiple nights together… so the DJ who doesn’t want commitment seem to be seeking out more from Shelby. And Shelby who wasn’t looking for more than 1 night is as well hooked on the steamy bedroom moves…Nolan fits everything she is looking for but is afraid that Nolan doesn’t want more unlike her. They clearly are the opposites attract type of relationship and they suit each other so well. What will it take for these two lovers to finally admit they are perfect for one another and that they are ready to take their “relationship” further? Only way to find out is to pick up a copy of this awesome romance read.
