Corps Security in Hope Town: Fast Forward by Piper ReaganMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is the debut book by Piper Reagan for Harper Sloan’s Corps Security series. What she has done is combined the story of Gineva and Jarrett with other members of Harper Sloan’s Hope Town, including main Corps Security hottie Maddox Locke, as well as Caleb and Honor from The Fighting Series from JB Salsbury. This was a fantastic novella and I was able to dive right in and not feel lost in anyway if I hadn’t know who these characters were. I always would suggest reading anything from Harper Sloan and JB Salsbury because seriously, they are awesome authors.
Ms. Reagan has written a fascinating read about Gineva Derosa and Jarrett Dean. They were BFF in high school until one fated night changed everything including their friendship. Fast forward 9 years later when Gin is in Hope Town to help out (everyone’s fan favorite) salon owner, Sway to get his salon back on track. She literally runs into Jared and she realizes she never stop loving him and comes to realize he was and is her one true love. Jared can’t believe after all this time Gin is back in his life and this time he isn’t going to let her walk out of his life again. He wants a do-over, to prove that he never stopped loving her and that she was it for him then and now. Add into the mix the strange going ons at Sway’s salon and the mix of Corps Security and Fighting series characters making appearances on top of the suspense, intrigue, angst, passion and 2nd chance romance so this is one hot read. I loved being back in Hope Town and I love the freshness of the writing. It totally imbued the spirit of HS Hope Town. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
