Mend by Kivrin Wilson is a complex and emotional read. Their story was so genuine, so real. I could feel the pain coming thru the pages and in the characters words. I was dying to read Paige and Logan's story after reading the end of Bend and seeing the pain Paige was in. Paige and Logan had the perfect relationship, everything was going well and then…well..Life is what happened. No one else was in the picture , no other drama . I could understand why Logan doesn’t get why his wife has filed for divorce. I also understand why Paige has filled. She is tired of the status quo and she is tired of her and the kids being dead last in his eyes. She is ready to end things and start over as a single, divorced woman. When really all they need is better communication skills… this boils down to huge miscommunication on both sides. Because of this, both sides were quick to lay blame and then pass judgement and well then Life continues to happen. Will their love be strong enough to overcome the struggles that they face to put their marriage back together , is their love for each other still as strong as the day they married? Or will they let anger, hurt, and hopelessness, despair rule their emotions and cause them to break for good?
This story really touched a choir with me because Logan and Paige aren’t bad people. They are just two people who made bad decisions based on misinformation, miscommunication. Kivrin Wilson completely KILLED IT with this read! Paige and Logan are made for each other and this story from start to end shows this even during the really bad times, the heartbreaking times . I will say there are some twists in this story that I didn’t see coming but definitely glad to read. Wonderful story; Can't wait for more!
