Wanting Mr. Cane by Shanora Williams is the First book in the Cane Series. This is the red hot story of Kandy and Cane. Cane is best friends with Kandy's father since she was little. Kandy has always been fascinated by Cane but he didn’t see her that way. He just saw her at little Kandy. Things started changing when Kandy started getting older and her fascination turned to a huge crush. The crush turned to a unrelenting love for Kandy yet she tried to hide her feelings. Cane started dating a women name Kelly and brought her around to deter Kandy from her growing feelings but it didn't stop them. Then things came to an epic head one night and from then on, Kandy and Cane let feelings take over without letting her father and his best friend know how deep they both are in. This story is super steamy, with taboo situations which lend to a sizzling, passionate, angsty read. Cane is in his late 30s while Kandy is 18—there is TONS OF HEAT and FEELS in this story to have you immediately hooked and not ever wanting to get off this rollercoaster ride of emotions. Kandy and Cane are in love , in lust and neither wants to get out of the other’s life. Several things happen that leave the reader wondering what will happen when it ends on an epic cliffhanger. OMG I am in withdrawals over this story and am dying to find out what happens to this couple. I don’t want to give the storyline away but several plot twists had me in fits and I hope they will be addressed in book 2. Kandy needs her Cane…this was a fabulous start in a great new series.
