Marriage of Inconvenience, an all new romantic comedy standalone in the USA Today bestselling, Knitting in the City Series by Penny Reid, is LIVE!
There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson. . . and yes, she is *that* Kathleen Tyson): 1) She’s determined to make good decisions, 2) She must get married ASAP, and 3) She knows how to knit.
Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.
Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity—and heart—all in one piece.
Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent—or as trustworthy—as she thought?

******* MY REVIEW ********
Marriage of
Inconvenience Penny Reid
brings herKnitting
in the City series to a full close. Over the course of the series
it became a forgone conclusion who Dan would end up with and finally, FINALLY
we have Kat and Dan's story in our hands. Marriage of Inconvenience is a story years’
worth in the making. It’s a story that brings the whole series full circle,
brings together the entire Knitting family and made me fall even more in love
with Dan and Kat. This book , even though it is part of a series, can
be read as a standalone. Kat
needs to get married but the problem is that Kat isn’t dating anyone.
The thing is, Kat needs to make sure her future husband she ends up with knows
exactly what he is getting himself into when even her closest friends don’t
know what Kat’s life is really like. This is when Dan enters the
picture. Kat has been in lust/love with Dan for years. But they had a “thing”
happen back about 2 years before. Really, it was just one horrible night
together and ever since Kat hasn’t been able to look him in the eye. When they were back in each other’s lives,
they had a lot of awkward moments between one another. Dan was a bit
reserved just like Kat but he didn't have such a hard time opening up
compared to Kat and watching how Dan went about breaking down Kat’s walls was oh so hot and cute. Also, what I
enjoyed was reading how Dan and Kat reconnected , even though these two were so
stubborn. They refused to see what was right in front of their faces and that
they were made for each other. When you have the heiress and the ex-con
as the main characters for the final fabulous story in the Knitting series, you
know this is going to be epic. I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I will
just say, this is one fantastic, epic read in the Knitting in the City series with
visits from previous characters who drop in to help make this one awesome final
read in a fabulous series. Dan and Kat make for great main characters who are
sassy, sexy, stubborn, and humorous. I know I needed some tissues to make it
for the last pages in the book and was so sad to know this was it but what a
way to go out…in knitters style.
