Title: Tattered & Bruised ( The Broadway Series #4)
Author: Allie York
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cori Sharpe: Single mom, fearless, perpetually loveless. With a daughter to raise and an ex-husband in prison, she wouldn’t have time for a man if she wanted one. When a tall, sexy, and tatted single dad shows up in ballet class with his daughter, Cori’s idea about men starts to shift. The more time she spends with Griffin and his daughter, the less she fears trying her hand at love again.
Griffin Steele: Single dad, inked, badass. Since a daughter he never knew was dropped in his lap, life as he knew it was flipped upside down. Instead of late nights with lose women, he’s home in time for bedtime stories. As his priorities shift from fun to family, he finds himself falling for Cori and her spunky daughter who seem to pull his own child out of her shell a little more with each meeting. All he needs is to convince Cori that one family together is better than two apart.
Allie is a mom, wife, and dog groomer by day. At night she is posted on her laptop writing contemporary romance. She has a soft spot for gooey romance, over-creamed coffee, and anything cute and furry.
*******MY REVIEW *******
Tattered and Bruised is the
fourth book in The Broadway Series, and it can be read as a standalone. This
beautiful romance is filled with such emotional feels. The plot is involving and moving. They
story has unique characters who are complex and intriguing. This is a story
that is definitely a 3 box tissue read. Cori
is a single mom after divorcing her ex 4 years ago. Her past with
her ex was not a good scene. She doesn’t need a
man in her life after what she went thru with her ex and all she cares
about now is being the best mom to her
daughter. She meets Griffin, a man also with a daughter. Griffin is
one hot and handsome man who makes her rethink the not dating rule. He is such
a good dad to her little girl. Their
path to romance is, at times, rocky but their journey is beautiful and at times
intense. I loved the sweet, beautiful characters that the author wrote. This is
a story that I couldn’t put down. There are some sensitive topics /triggers in
this story that may be an issue for some readers. I found this to be a wonderful story of
moving beyond your painful past, opening yourself to find love again, and that
love finds you when you least expect it.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
“I received an advanced
copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
