Lauren Layne puts a fresh spin on the story about a reluctant playboy actor and equally wary T-shirt entrepreneur. What Ms. Layne does is do a The Bachelor-esque take in the story. Connected to book one by way of the reality show Jilted, instead of our characters stumbling to cast the show, this time it's all set to film. The storyline is fantastic and the writing was phenomenal. Ellie and Famous Gage unwillingly end up as contestants on a Bachelor-style show. Gage has fallen for Ellie but she doesn’t trust him because she thinks he is faking and because of how famous he is. There is this instant attraction between these two, this chemistry which pushed the storyline far; plus there is the drama with the other contestants fueling the angst and drama in this romance read. Ellie and Gage make a perfect couple. I couldn’t put this romance read down. Ms. Layne has written a fantastic story with witty humor and sizzling chemistry. I look forward to seeing what she has next to come out.
