OMG This book has it
all-Intrigue, Suspense, Deceit, Angst, Heartbreak, Forbidden Romance, 2nd
Chance Romance Passion and above all, Intense
Love. The writing was very good. I loved the fast pace and the engaging writing
that had me hooked from the very beginning. It seemed the writing was taking
the reader in one direction and then suddenly midway it changed and off it went
into a different direction and I liked where it took the reader. It was fresh
and believable. It was a twist that I didn’t see coming but I did like it.
This book is very steamy
with some intense sexual scenes between the H/h. Ben and Bridget really
shined in this book and come close to being my favorites couple in this series
so far( the top for me is Cam and Ashley but they were almost kicked off as top
couple ). Ben is a brooding, intense, strong alpha handsome South African male
who has plenty of secrets and his life hasn’t been easy- he has led a very
dangerous life and because of that, he is a wary man. Bridget is a sassy,
sweet, outgoing, very pretty Australian woman who is so kind that she has that
best friend vibe. 5 years before Ben and Bridget had a secret affair then he
just leaves her with no warning…why? 5 years later Ben is back in Bridget’s
life and she wants to know why…I know why….he never stopped loving her but
Bridget doesn’t know this and its killing her since he left her before and she
is afraid to open her heart again and let the man she never stopped loving back
in.
Marx Girl is the 2nd
chance love story between Bridget Marx and Ben Stratham. It has some seriously
hot, sexy moments as well as some real serious moments that does involve tears
, angst, and anger. There is also a semi secondary story that runs parallel
with their love story and it was awesome to read. Ms. Swan never fails to
deliver a wonderful, beautiful love story with heart and humor. It was also
great to catch up with previous characters from the other books making appearances
and seeing how they were doing. I didn’t want this story to end for it was a
rollercoaster ride a minute and it was one that had me catching my breath and I
wanted to do it all over again. Ben is definitely book boyfriend material. You
do not want to miss one moment of this book!!!
