This is one fantastic
series and it keeps getting better as you read it. This is the 3rd book in the series.
Rae is so done with dating
Ryker. At the start of the book, we find out that Ryker's father had
passed away. Rae attends the funeral because she was close with Ryker’s
father which leads to Ryker’s surprise to her being there. He tries to talk to
her but she just says “Sorry for your loss” and walks away. Which is sad but
all their relationship was seemed to be about sex. Ryker blew his chance.
Rae's brother, Rex is
proving to be something of a sexual
guide for Rae’s friend Kayden.
She is a quiet girl and is someone who doesn’t dressed to attract attention.
Thing is, she is in love with Rex and is trying to get his attention. They
start seeing each other on the down low without their friends knowing and things
seem ok until Rae almost catches them in the act then Rex wants to break things
off. When he does , Kayden get super depressed and starts sleeping around to
prove something to Rex..what I have no clue but in the meantime, we see Rex
start to get a clue. What an idiot, he needed to have gotten a clue a lot sooner.
Then we have Zeke who is
Rex's best friend since they were very little, he is in love with Rae.
He starts to see someone else. Rex knows his sister is in love with Zeke and
wonders if he should tell Zeke and finally opens his mouth and lets him know
how Rae feels about him . Zeke is still in love with Rae although now he's in a
relationship with someone—what a tangled web. Will Rae & Zeke be
able to make a relationship when he is seeing someone else, Will Zeke
end his other relationship for Rae? Will Rex & Kayden be able to
find their way back to each other after all that has happened? OR (gasp) Or
will Rae go back to Ryker??
There is so much angst,
passion, anger, loss, betrayal, 2nd chances and love in this book. I
loved the cast of characters and look forward to book 4 in this series to find
out what happens next.
