ARC REVIEW OF DROWNING BY Marni Mann, Gia Riley

31845640

Drowning was full of emotional and angst ridden moments. But it also had the romance and the passion that would give this a romance novel feel. It is , though, a romantic suspense read and at times it definitely had my heart racing. There is a great plot, fantastic characters and the scenery that is described makes you feel as though you are right there in the scene(s).
The main characters in this book are Clay/Adrian and Andi. They are on the run , each from things in their lives, in their past (Adrian's scandal and Andi's abusive boyfriend) , they struggle really hard to make a life  , all while trying to get past those troubles from the past and to create a new trouble free future. They end up find love together and they work toward banishing the troubles of the past but its so hard when those demons try to pop up and cause pain for them.  These two makes a fabulous couple, their feelings are pure and true, even in the face of all that is in their way.
The story goes thru many twists and turns –at times it will have you on the edge of your seat .  The story is told in dual POV and also in some flashbacks to the past of the characters in this book. The MC in this book have some hot and steamy moments which is definitely a needed and liked bit for this romantic suspense story. All in All, this is one good read.

My rating: 4.5 stars ****
