“Awakened by Flames” is the 1st book in the brand new spin-off from the phenomenal Weres & Witches of Silver Lake series! This stand-alone has mainly dragon shifters but there is also magic in another realm far away from earth, which is accessible by portals! I can already tell the storyline is very fresh, not retreads and full of action and adventure, romance and passion.
Finn's dreams of Kaleena are of her in need of help. Kaleena has been kidnapped and desperately is in need of someone to save her and help her escape. Finn doesn’t know who the woman is but he wants to go out and do whatever it takes to bring her to him, to save her. What he finds out is she is his mate and they live in different realms. Kaleena does know who Finn is to her and is able to dream walk with her mate which is amazing. There is a lot of drama, angst, complications, action, adventure , passion and love written into this story which kept me hooked from start to finish. Will Finn be able to save Kaleena and if so, will they get their HEA?
I really enjoyed the twisty plot, the paranormal aspect in this story combined with the contemporary love story and the enchanting cast of characters. I wanted to know everything and everyone. I look forward to more in this series.
