Mia Asher never falls
to delight when it comes to her books. I always get a sexy yet forbidden and
witty, stunning read that keeps me hooked from start to finish. This book will
make you think and will make you go hmmmm. This has a suspense angle along with
the forbidden love angle which intrigued me greatly and after I finished the
book. All I could say was OMG… What a mind trip. This has a lot of twists and
turns all throughout this story. Ms Archer has a hit on her hands.
Valentina has been married to
William for 14 years but he did something that broke their love apart
and further fractured it. She is off in France and will not come home. Its time
she live for herself. Its there she meets Sebastien , a man who is haunted by a great
loss. Valentina is struggling because she doesn’t know if her marriage is worth
saving yet when she is with Sebastien, she feels this hope, this fresh start
with him. Things look brighter, happier until…William shows up. William is NOT
Mr. Nice Guy. This story is told in multiple POV. Valentina is a good person, smart if not a bit
naïve about what is going on with her life and her husband, while Sebastien is
a man who is hot, handsome and mysterious-and someone who has a past he is
trying to overcome. I loved their initial meeting and every time they get
together since.
I don’t want to give much of the story away but what I can tell you is
there are many emotions layered into this story, many different things going
on. I really enjoyed many facets to this story and the suspenseful angle. The
only one critique that I would give is I would have is I would have liked an
epilogue to this story as to know how the MC are doing after everything that
happened in the story. That would be my one issue…otherwise, fantastic story .
