I liked the premise of this
book but found myself having a hard time getting into the story. It took me
until I was half way into the story before I could finally get involved into
the story and then there was this connection for me. The story didn’t have that
immediate connection like I have had
with the author’s other books.
As far as the story
goes, it is about a modern retelling or modern look at a Hatfields vs. McCoys
rivalry(but the last names are different) with the children being in love. Beau and Charlotte did have this chemistry that made this
story sweet and their heat made this hot story. They were starting to fall deep
in love until her sister threw a spanner in the works and caused angst and
drama. In fact Charlotte herself caused some drama in her attempts to avoid
Beau but Beau isn’t a man that you avoid and he wants his lady and he goes
about to prove his love.
Will Beau be able to prove his sincere love and devoition to Charlotte ?
Will this bitter family feud be fixed or will these two lovebirds have to fly
the nest? This is something the story answers and because the two main
characters are strong and have such chemistry, I upped my rating of the story.
My Rating: 4.2 stars *****
