Title: Caveman
Author: Jo Raven
Genre: Romance
Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls.
Dark, tall and mysterious, he’s a newcomer to our little town. He’s a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy.
Sweet, right?
Plus he’s looking for a nanny – and I am desperately looking for a job.
Sounds like the perfect deal.
Only he’s a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude.
But oh so sexy.
And I need the job. I can do this.
One thing is for sure: I can’t fall for the Caveman. No matter how sexy he is. How mysterious. How tortured.
That’s the only rule – and one I’m about to break.

********MY REVIEW*****
Ms. Raven did it again!! This
is a wonderful and moving story that will have you reaching for tissues as well
as making sure to keep the lights on while reading this suspenseful/complex emotional
romance story.
Matt is a single father.
He lost his wife to cancer several years before and after he lost her, he lost
himself to grief and terrible loss. After his wife died, he almost went with her
but he had his children to live for but still it was a battle for him to just
move about and just BE every day. After his wife’s death, Matt because a rude
and anti-social person. All he cared about was his children and that was that. You
can feel his love for his kids but his dislike for others can be felt. His move
to a new town and a new job, Matt realizes he needs a nanny that he can depend
on and trust. This is where we meet Octavia.
Octavia( aka Tati...Tay.) is outgoing and sweet with a sassy
personality. She is great with children. She comes to realize Matt is
struggling personally inside and she wants to help in more ways than one. She
can understand his pain and wants to help but his rude personality doesn’t endear
him to her, at first. Tay has her own past full of pain and she tries not to
let that rule her present. She is a fixer and for her, Matt and the children
come first before her troubles.
I loved the complex emotions
and actions that are shown in this story. I cant say too much without giving
everything away but there is a lot of twists and turns in this story. The
author does a fantastic job of hooking me immediately with the interplay between
Matt and Tay then introducing the hot, spicy chemistry between these two. Also
the suspense that comes up in the story was a great added bonus to a emotional
love story that had me rooting for these two deserving MC. Kudos to Ms. Raven
for writing a beautiful love story.
