The Boss is a second-chance
romance between two ex-lovers, ex-spies,
and ex-business partners. Mac
and Vic met six years ago during one of their government assignments. Mac
was MI6 while Vic was CIA. Their relationship has been of ups and downs,
of on and off agains…so before this story starts, about6 months before, Vic
walks away from Mac and their security business, and the couple ends
things- it seems for good. Fast forward to now, Mac comes sneaking into Vic’s home, which is a cabin, and asks
for help. The company's last assignment was with the NSA and things went
south FAST. The trouble started when Rock, Vic's best friend, saw a girl almost
get kidnapped during their assignment. He ended up shooting the target and
grabbing the girl. No one knows
whose after them or the girl.
There are so many questions blooming plus throw in the added attraction
of Mac and Vic. This really is a story about how they got back together and
what went haywire in the past that caused them to go so far off track before.
There is a lot going on, which is great because if you like mystery, suspense
and romance, then you will love this story.
I loved the secondary characters which helped to liven up the plot. You
will not go wrong with this 2nd chance romance.
