Midnight Wolf by Jennifer Ashley can be read as a standalone although this is part of The Shifters Unbound series. Midnight Wolf features Angus Murray who we met in Red Wolf and he has been ordered to hunt down a wee female shifter. The stupid authorities that monitor shifters even stole his cub to force his hand and gain his help in getting him to do what they wanted. He didn’t expect Tamsin to completely change his life when he found her. He didn’t expect her to fit in with him yet she completely did and that rocked Angus’s world. Another thing is that Tamsin has connections to his family which complicates matters. So people want to know who she knows, when she knows it, how she knows it, etc… Angus and Tamsin make for a great couple and when you add in the great group of secondary characters which are set in a fabulous backdrop of places and people, this makes for a fantastic paranormal romance read.
