Blood Type by K.A. Linde is book One in the Blood Type Series. This is the story of Reyna Carpenter and Beckham Anderson. Reyna Carpenter lives in a world different than ours. In her world, vampires rule and humans are living in poverty, barley making ends to meet. Reyna is a naive female who has a penchant of finding herself in trouble which resulted in her needing rescuing from danger. Reyna and her two surviving brothers are struggling, both are holding down two jobs which barely bring in enough food for the three of them. Reyna needs money so she does the one thing she knows will bring money for her and her brothers- sign up with Visage (the largest corporation in the world) to be a blood escort. Her blood is tested and she ends up permanently placed with a vampire named Beckham—who happens to be the Vice President of Visage. Reyna and Beckham have this chemistry but its not an instant intense chemistry, theirs is more of a slow burn that takes place throughout the majority of the book before it combust into an intense heat and steam. Beckham sweeps Reyna away to his penthouse in the city. He provides for her only the best food, clothing—anything she needs or wants. She can also have his driver take her anywhere, and a bodyguard if she requires one. Whats odd is that Beckham doesn’t even drink from her…WHAT???!!!! Beckham is alpha to the core and tells Reyna she will do what he says, when he says it. He doesn’t tell her what he wants, only when he wants it done. There are so many things at play and you have to read the story in full to know what is going to happen. I enjoyed this story and all the twists and turns at play. I cant wait to read the next book in this series. I loved Beck and Reyna and their chemistry was awesome. This was a great PNR read.
