Welcome to the Dark Side by Giana Darling is book 2 in the Fallen Men series and can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Zeus Garro and Louis Lafayette 'Lou’. Daddy Zeus was everything that I hoped for and then some!!! If you thought King in Lessons in Corruption was steamy, then get ready for Welcome to the Dark Side’s sizzling and hot scenes, it will knock your socks off!! This is an addictively hot and captivating story about two people that are so drawn to one another, it doesn’t matter how old one is or how young one is, what the heart wants, the heart will have. This story will draw you in and keep you locked in from the start and you will not be able to put it down, that’s how awesomely great this read is.
There is a 19 year age difference between Zeus and Lou. Zeus Garro is the kind of man that will have you either hating him because of how alpha he is or obsessing over him/die wanting him because he is that alpha. I fall into the later category because Zeus is just that hot. He makes being bad just so good. Zeus happens to meet Lou when she was 7 years old. Lou was an innocent victim of a shoot-out where Zeus saved her life due to his actions. But they both were hurt by a bullet and Zeus ended up killing a person. His actions got him sent to prison for a number of years and during this time, Lou wrote to Zeus until he put a stop to it. Lou saw Zeus as her guardian monster angel. The reason she felt that way is because of the shoot out and her getting shot, they found out early she had cancer and it help to start treatment early. Zeus was able to give Lou strength to fight cancer during their letter writing sessions and she felt like someone at least cared for her but like all good things, the letter writing came to an end when she became a young teenager. Zeus had thought he needed to protect her and save her because she was a good girl and didn’t need to go down the dark side which he was on the dark side while she was all light and goodness. But it was already too late, Lou never stopped wanting to turn away from the girl image and took to the Dark side anyway. Lou and Zeus have this push/pull towards one another and this is such a forbidden taboo romance. What happens when Zeus finds out Lou is walking on the dark side? Oh trust me, this is a MUST READ. Lou and Zeus’ story is intense and when they meet back up again years later, it’s like a powder keg about to go off. They are combustible, full of heat and their love is heart-breaking, awesome, beautiful, and the emotional rollercoaster that is their love will take you to the utter breaking point but trust me, it’s the best way to go with this love story. Lou and Daddy Zeus had me in tears with their love and Ms. Darling had me going thru boxes of tissues but it was soo worth it. This is one of the best reads of 2018 and I cant wait to read more in the Fallen Men series.
