ARC REVIEW of Tuesdays at Six (Sunday Love Book 3) by KJ LEWIS

Tuesdays at Six (Sunday Love Book 3) by [Lewis, KJ]

This is a story that is an emotional powerhouse. It is deep and poignant, full of emotions, FEELS that will grab you and not let go until literally the very last word. I loved the journey that Walt, Samantha, the girls and their group of friends go on as they all work thru the grief that happened when they lost some dear people in their lives. Out of that grief comes a new situation that they find themselves in and how Walt and the girls handle it, with Samantha is explored is the basis of this story and wow, what a story.
The beginning of the book is really giving you the simmer before we get to the boil- we get Walt and the girls, how they handle the grief and how Walt’s life is changed, along with the girls. And how Samantha is introduced into their lives. Walt and Sam’s romance is not even a simmer at this point but then slowly, starts to simmer as she comes to work for him as a “House Manager”. We get background and we get to fall in love with the characters in the story before the romance is introduced. I fell hard for the kids and oh what precious kids they were. And Walt—oh my-- I , at first, didn’t like Walt. I found him to be a huge jerk but slowly, when reading this story, I saw him thaw out and Walt literally sizzled right off my Kindle with Samantha. Oh the chemistry was right and properly naughty for this couple. When it came to Samantha, I got the feeling there was something going on with Samantha and as the story progressed, the author built up a level of mystery with her. Also, I enjoyed the characters introduced as Sam’s Posse/friends. Then the author introduced this added mystery into the story regarding Sam and the mystery of her past, and the sadness in her eyes…and how she really connected with the children. All I will say is there was several huge twists to this story. And when the explosion happens between Walt and Samantha..wow, I didn’t see that coming.
I enjoyed the mysterious edge this story had, the heartbreak and loss and the reaffirming connections this story gave. I loved the passion and the connections I felt. The only one tiny minor thing I would have liked improved on would have been an epilogue so I would know certain things regarding certain people in this story. Other than that, I loved this story. I don’t think I cried so much or smiled so much while reading this book. Also it was great to see previous characters from this author’s previous book make small cameos.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
