‘CORRODE’: Is the 2nd book in Elle Fields ‘Surface Rust “ series. The
story starts off with Felix finally getting out of prison, and he is
ready to go after his true love Maggie. He hasn’t seen her since he has been in
prison . Felix and Maggie's love story is one that will have you rooting
for them, will have your heart aching for all they have gone thru. Felix and
Maggie made some pretty big mistakes but when it comes to love, nothing is ever
too big to fix for love is what brings them back together, to fix what
went wrong or at least try to. This is a
2nd chance romance between two people who are so different yet are
so right for one another. Magdeline aka Maggie is the innocent, super
intelligent, sweet girl from the right side of the tracks while Felix comes
from the rougher part of town and he is quite the alpha male. He is works in an
auto shop, rides a bike and is such a rough n tough man yet these are two people
who made such a connection , especially when Felix immediately set eyes on
Maggie. Thing is life was never easy for them and the stresses in their lives
just seemed to tear them down and apart. There is a lot of angst, and pain,
anger and despair but you also have love and hope woven into this story along
with steamy heat and overwhelming happiness. I loved that we get to see
previous characters make an appearance in this story. This story captured my
soul, my heart and even now as I am writing this review, I want to go back and
sink myself back into the book and re-read it again for this is a book that
will resonate with you long after the story has ended. Beautiful, Angsty and
Full of Heart, this is what I can say makes this such a great story!!
