Miranda and Nolan have been
the best of friends for about a year now. Nolan has wanted to start up a
relationship with Miranda the entire time he has known her but she just put him
on the friend zone…until now, 10 months later. Miranda is ready to try
and move past the friend zone but is afraid to upset the apple cart. Same goes
for Nolan for he cares too much to lose her ….then Miranda gets word her family
is coming to town for a Christmas visit to meet Miranda’s new, completely fake fiancé,
then Miranda turns to her best friend Nolan and asks him to play the part of
her “loving” fiancée and he immediately
agrees. The story takes place in Holly, North Carolina where it’s Christmas all
year round which means dreams can come true.
I found this to be a sweet
and dreamy novella about two people who were in love with one another but didn’t
want to upset the status quo until they literally had to. The only angst in
this story is the one Miranda has to deal with regarding her family. I loved
the Christmas setting and the magic and emotions. I found Nolan to be a dream
guy-strong , dependable, and sexy while Miranda is sassy, strong and likeable.
These two are made for one another and I loved the setup and the plot. The
ending went the way it needed to. Family is the tone for this story and
supporting those you need to the darkest time. I think it’s a good theme. I do
wish this story was a tad bit longer but otherwise loved this story.
