M Robinson is back as the ultimate storyteller for her latest book called “El Santo”. It has the same sort of tone like The Good O'l Boys series. It brings back feelings like I felt when I read the Good Ol’Boys and I got the shivers good and hard. I was in heaven because the story takes you back to when Amira and Damien where in their younger years and takes you thru the highs and the lows, the good and the bad times. I was literally in thrall the entire book and I have found my favorite new couple -- Damien and Amira. They are SOULMATES!!!! If you read Ends Here, then you got a glimpse of Damien Montero and I knew then he was going to own me when I got to read his story and that is the case here. I loved him and I equally hated him. The twists and turns compete with the ups and down in this story—There is this connection between Damien and Amira, one that keeps on going even with all that happens in this story. This story has me asking lot of questions, did give few answers but left me with more questions. Every single time I would get alittle relief and get an answer, then I would be left with tons of questions –GAH!!!! What can I say, The Queen of Angst has done it again and leveled a TKO with El Santo!! Damien is a sinner and a saint, while Amira was an angel and a spitfire. The things she lived thru, to come out the other side was like a prayer because I didn’t know if she even would. If I had to think of some words to describe this book, they would be shattered, Loyalty, compassion, confused, gripping, mesmerizing, at times unforgiving, sensual, mind-boggling, erotic, angst, romantic and love. Every roller coaster of emotion I had and ever could have been was written into this book. This story will stay with you long after you have finished reading it.
