I’m not exactly the social type. After spending most of my formative years in prison, I prefer an isolated existence in the wilderness of Canada’s Northwest Territories, making what little cash I need guiding tourists to the best hunting grounds. I have no desire for company; I crave solitude instead, especially during the subarctic winter months, but what am I supposed to do when I come across a woman in distress? I can’t just leave her to die in the cold, and a storm is on the way.
So now we are confined to my secluded cabin, and I quickly realize there’s something not quite right about Seri—or is her name Netti? She switches moods faster than a snowshoe hare changes direction. In fact, I’m starting to think there’s more than one person behind the mystifying woman’s intense, green eyes.
Physically, only two of us are trapped inside the rustic cabin, but I still feel outnumbered.

Outnumbered by
Shay Savage is a complex, unique and captivating book that will have you spell
bound from start to finish. This was written in Bishops entire POV.
29 year old Bishop lives a
very simple life- one that is so off track, one that is miles away from civilization
with no electricity to run his cabin.
This is how he lives his life. He has lived his life like this for over
3 years , part of the reason he lives like this is due to his past and he has
no need for anyone else to be with him. He doesn’t want anyone else with him
but himself. Until…Bishop finds a young woman unconscious alongside a road with
a severe snow storm coming. So he ends up taking her home and taking her in.
This sends Bishop down a strange and dark path in his mind, having to share
space but soon Seri slowly makes headway with Bishop and is able to
break down walls and show him that it is ok to share space with someone else.
Seri gets Bishop talking- from one word answers to short answers to complete
sentences. Seri is complex and unique. She is hard to describe but when you
read this story, you will understand why Seri is so hard to explain, why she
has so many different personalities to her. Ms. Savage wrote such a complex and
unique story , one that will have you think and ponder. I loved the chemistry
between Bishop and Seri. I enjoyed the description of where Bishop lived and
the way that she writes her main characters but mainly I enjoyed their
connection. It is intense and deep. This is a romance that is lined with
intrigue and suspense. If you like your
romances that are flavored with suspense and intrigue, then you will love
Outnumbered.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

Savage’s books many books span a wide variety of topics and sub-genres with deeply flawed characters. From cavemen to addicts to hitmen, you’ll find yourself falling for these seemingly irredeemable characters!
