This is a modern take on a fairytale classic Beauty and the Beast. In Beauty and her Billionaire Beast by Bella Love Wins, Belle and Knox were the best of friends growing up until Knox moved away to go to college while they were in high school. Bella never heard or saw from her best friend again. His silence nearly broke Bella’s heart because she loved him yet he never kept in touch with her after going off to college. Fast forward 10 years later, Bella and Knox meet again at a party of known acquaintances. Its like they are strangers upon meeting again. Bella is so surprised to see Knox yet she knows she needs to know why Knox turned his back on her. But by the end of the night, she and Knox end up having a steamy encounter in one of the adjoining rooms. Bella ends up leaving Knox behind as she fled. One week later, Knox was with his grandfather at a local restaurant receiving very bad news when Belle and her parents arrive and join them. Knox is super close with his grandfather for he raised him after the sudden deaths of his parents. Knox doesn’t want anything more to do with Bella for certain reasons which are slowly branched out in the story. He does his very best to come off as cold and angry with her. Poor Bella, she never fully recovered after Knox left her years ago and is shy, introverted, and sweet. Knox comes off as this total jerk. Alpha in his ways and very dominant. There is a lot of push/pull in this story. Knox is very resistant to redeveloping their deep bond from years past. Bella isn’t sure what went wrong and getting Knox to explain is like pulling teeth. This is the journey Knox and Bella take and all their emotional/ relationship ups and downs will have the reader on a roller coaster to their way of finding what they really want in life! This book showed the reader the feelings/ emotions: friendship, loyalty, love, desire , secrets, betrayal as well as heartache and heartbreak. I found this to be a really raw and beautiful 2nd chance romance read which stays with you long after the reading of this book.
