Oh the Bennett family.. I
love how strong they are together and the strength and love that keeps them
going. This was one of my favorite books in the series and in my opinion, one
of the best. This is Daniel’s story----This
book is about Daniel and ex-girlfriend Caroline; they started out as friends
who progressed to lovers but their love was so young and fragile, it fell to
the weight of youthful demands, one was how their relationship would be going
to a long distance relationship when one of them would go off to a different
college far away which would put a huge strain on their relationship and Daniel
made the choice and ended the relationship 10 years before. This broke Caroline’s
heart badly but they both moved on and did the best to have other
relationships. Both of them, we see years later, truly regretted the bitter
parting. So when years later they happen to be back in each other’s’ lives
after having reconnected, it is after they have both dated others and realized
they both had it the best when they were together. The intense and strong
feelings are still there for each other and are stronger than ever.
This is such an emotional
story which shows both of the characters and how they have to deal
with things in each of their lives since they broke up with each other,
and how they communicate this to the other and then learning to build the trust
with one another and also learn how to be a couple again after 10 years, especially
with some lingering issues still on the horizon. Daniel and Caroline have this
intense and strong sexual chemistry together and when they are in the same
room, it is sizzling. I really rooted for them to reconnect and find their way
back to each other. I loved this 2nd chance love story and how
Daniel came to realize he never had it so good when he was with Caroline. So
many rooted for them to reconnect and find their way back together. Their story is epic and beautiful, emotional
and strong. Another awesome book by Layla!!!!
