This book is full of mystery, intrigue, angst, romance and tons of passion. Savannah goes to Kingsbury Falls on a mission. Her mother passed away and when she did, she found out, thru a series of strange events and evidences which made her start to question her whole life and set her out to go back and look into her mother’s past, her life in a place Savannah knew nothing about. Her research starts at going to the funeral for one of the town’s most respected men and that’s where she sees Jax. He is the town’s player/playboy. Jax sees Savannah and he is instantly captivated and he isn’t about to let her walk away –something about this mysterious young woman calls to him and he dare not let her walk out of his life. Jax has a tortured past with his parents and his only family is his best friend Maddox whom he co owns a ranch with. Savannah comes in with many secrets and even with those secrets, Jax has fallen head over heels in love with her. The attraction is super hot and the connection is fresh and sizzling. But once the secrets come out, their path is of togetherness may be twisted and broken. Will fate and love keep these two together or will the past break them apart?
I loved this beautiful love story and the past of the two main characters will break your heart yet how they grew and their love story was so awesome. Even with every twist and turn, every obstacle thrown at Jax and Savannah, they fought for their love. And the secondary characters of Maddox, AB, little Sally Rae and Pops were bright rays of sunshine in this story. I loved the interactions that they had with the main characters. The villain is definitely a villain and I would have loved to see something bad happen to him …you have to read to see what happens to all in this story.
