Once Hunted, Twice Shy by
Mandy Roth is a story full of humor, of wit, of good paranormal romance.
This story is about Hugh a wolf shifter/ fisher man and Penelope, a human
albeit with a twist. Penelope has returned back to town to visit her
grandfather after been crossed in love.
Poor Penny, things get a little strange for her when she is run over (literally) by the local eligible
Wolf-Shifter, Hugh. Weird
things happen immediately when around sexy Hugh and she is accused of things as
soon as she has met him… And then Hugh--Hugh has always made a
point to avoid Penelope’s grandfather Wilber Messing! Wilber is known in
the supernatural town as a hunter of all things supernatural and
spooky- things that go bump in the night. But when he literally runs
into Penelope , he knows he is getting super close to the grumpy old
man, more so than he ever wanted to. But how can he tell Penelope that he's a
werewolf and her grandfather is not the sweet,
loving old man she thinks he is. Also, add to all this some untimely
deaths being linked to Penelope's arrival and this is one sweet story
full of mystery, paranormal romance and humor. There is also a lot of passion
and intense chemistry between Hugh and
Penelope which definitely was great to read. I also enjoyed the laughs in the
story and loved the secondary characters that made appearances in this story.
