My Review:
This is a new series by Ruby Dixon and we have different characters in each book. They do interact in some way in each book. This is a novella short book but has plenty of flow and passion which keeps you hooked from beginning to end.
In book 1, we meet Cole Braxton , who lives in Pine Falls which is a place for wear-bears. He has been secretly in love/lust for human Adelaide Laurent since she arrived in PF back at alittle over 3 years ago to open a spa for women in the town and guests of the town. Things come to a head when Adelaide tells Cole something that sets him off and instead of him opening up and going to his woman, he refuses. Adelaide is a small pocket size Venus who is a virgin. She wants Cole but thinks he doesn’t want her and is in the process of giving up. Secrets that Cole are keeping –the were- type are what keeping him from her. I love the fact secondary characters in this story push and meddle him to go to her. When that happens, LOOK OUT! Alpha Cole goes running and gets his mate. Love the dirty and erotic sex scenes with Adelaide . Would be great if there was an epilogue that shows how the MC are down the road but this is in my opinion. Otherwise, this is a great start to a new series. Would love to see the Alpha of the town get his own story.

This is a sweet story of how Leo Prufuchs, whom we met in book 1, and who is Cole ‘s friend falls for Caroline , a visitor in his town of Pine Falls. She comes to town with her sort of boyfriend to patch up their relationship. Leo can tell her boyfriend is a jerk. Leo also can tell that Caro is his mate and he didn’t realize when he would meet his mate, she would be human which is what Caroline is.
Their love story is beautiful, sweet, passionate and full of surprises. Oh and the heat is between the Leo and Caro is extremely hot. Love how the story ends and how Leo takes care of Caro’s sort of boyfriend in the end. This is a fantastic novella style book , the flow is great and the characters literally feel so real. Only minor complaint is I would like to have an epilogue knowing how the characters are doing down the road.

In the book , Mal Standard is obsessed with the woman of his forever dreams- Ryann Brown. He is positive she is his mate but she is human. Also she came to Pine Falls when she was barely even 18 and so she was , at the time in town for the summer. So he just stayed away from her but she came back to work for relatives and now he knows time is growing short and he cannot stay away. She is beautiful and he is not. She is young and he is old. Oh my.. See, Ryann also has feelings for Mal… these two light up the pages . When Ryann finds out about Mal’s secret antics involving her, he is the one surprised. The sexual banter, the heat and the emotions will take you by surprise. Even though this is novella length, don’t let that stop you. This is jam packed and full of flavor. I loved the story and the ending. I hope to read a story involving the pack alpha next. He definitely deserves his own story.

This is a jam packed novella about a bear shifter and a wolf shifter. Maddison came to live in Pine Falls after her ex because the new alphas in her old pack. He chose another female to be his mate and wanted her to join them at times in their bed. She quickly got the heck out of dodge. She came to PF after finding a new job and a new place to live. Chance is a loner, doesn’t care how he looks, he just works in town and goes home. He owns the constructions company and does work as hard as his workers. He really doesn’t take notice of his appearance. Maddison is at the tavern with her new co workers which consists of her boss and another co worker when somehow she is roped into choosing the new person to do a makeover on. The story sets up how she picks Chance and how they end up falling in love. The passion between them is so erotic and steamy. There is BDSM and I really want to suggest reading this. The “make-over” is so hawt—love how Maddison went about it. Even though it is short, it has a flow to it that as a reader, appreciate. The only thing I wish is there was an epilogue, letting the reader know how the couple is doing.
