My revliew::
Between Shadows is the new series by author Chanel
Cleeton. It is about a teenage assassin called called X who is
pretty much an orphan who has a sister she wants so much to protect and she has
been trained while at “the
Academy “. The Academy is an elite organization that trains her to be the lean , mean
fighting machine she is . X has some dark demons inside of her but her light is
her sister.
Now there is this mysteries guy named Luke- he gets X’s motor running.
He’s mysterious, sexy, and has this way about him. He has this thing about him
that seems to draw X closer to him and him to her. It’s like an invisible
thread and the deeper the thread seems to be between them. I can feel the
chemistry between them and I really like it.
The whole Academy
story line at times didn’t seem to make sense and I wish it could have been
cleared up more because it mudded up the story waters. I get this impression
that Luke and X are supposed to be there for each other and the trust will be
there come in time and will be built. I
loved watching the trust get built… The story would come in waves but hold on,
there are some twists and turns. I found if you hold on and continue to read,
the reward is good. I enjoyed the story and the characters in this book. I
cannot wait to see what the author has next.
