Another fantastic romance hit from Shayla Black! Whenever I read a SB book, I am transported to a beautiful plot, fabulous characters and delicious chemistry –With this brand new series , everything that I love and want from previous SB books is present and let me say, this is a awesome book and this is a fantastic and fresh new series one of my favorite authors.
MORE THAN WANT YOU , book 1 in the More than Words series is set in Hawaii.
Maxon Reed is a sexy and handsome man who is definitely a handful. He has become driven by greed, driven by work and this need to beat his estranged brother Griff, in the high price and luxury real estate market. One night Maxon meets College senior Keeley "Sunshine" Kent at a bar where she was singing. She is different from all the other women he has dated or lusted after. Something about her calls to him and he decides she would be perfect to distract his brother in this upcoming high priced real-estate deal which will help him best his brother. Then he ends up sleeping with Keeley. Plans change and somewhere along the line Maxon is the one having a hard time resisting her.
Keeley is so different from Maxon- she is a free spirit. She is light, she is air –she is joy to Maxon’s dark and stormy countenance—they are definite opposite attract types but they do connect and oh do they—Keeley helped Maxon change from the bitter and angry man to a man any woman would be proud to be with. But there are secrets, there are things that take this story from one level to a whole other level. More Than Want You is phenomenal in its writing and the layers that are there. There are several stories going on at one time. The main one is Keeley and Maxon’s—be prepared for the twists and turns this story will take and make sure to grab plenty of tissues, keep a bottle of wine and chocolates handy and oh yes, get ready for Griff’s story next. I loved this book, LOVED LOVED LOVED this story. Maxon was a hard man but as I read his back story to how he got this way, well, I wanted to hug both of them. SB has done it again and has brought me such pleasure in her books, this was such pleasure –now I cannot wait for Griff’s story!!!
