Misbehaved is the first full length novel by the duo Charleigh Rose and what a knockout job they did! This is one heck of a taboo read and I fully enjoyed each and every steamy, dirty read. This is more than the student/teacher story, it is emotional, raw, full of heat and of promise.
Remi and Pierce have more than the stormy start , they find common ground but there are so many secrets that are running thru the story. Remi has a sad home life and school is her way to get out of her past and make her way to a better future . Pierce aka Mr. James sees something more in Remi but when he realizes who she is, who she is related to, he sees her as a means to an end. Pierce shouldn't want her but he finds he does and that complicates matters. Pierce sees deep into Remi, finds she is more than the girl she portrays and wants her, wants more than he should but both have demons inside and they are so close, closer than either of them realize.
This story starts off a little slow but that’s good. Its not an insta love but we do see a slowly building lust between the two. Pierce was moody, broody and alpha. While Remi was independent , sassy and strong because she had to be. Their relationship didn't just happen right away but slowly occurred. Their connection and heat was immediate and I wanted them to get together and I loved the twists and turns that pushed these two together and when they had struggles .Remi thinks she knows everything about Mr. James but she doesn’t…what will happen when she does find out his true secrets. Will circumstances force them apart… for good or will Remi practice forgiveness and let Pierce back into her life? This is one of the hottest, steamiest, sexiest taboo romances that I have read and loved. I didn’t want this story to end and was sad when I came to the last word. Pierce and Remi really connected with me as characters- for I didn’t see them as characters but as people who I thought of as “book friends”, friends who I came to care about and their “story”. CR wrote one fantastic book and I look forward to the next full length story from them.
