MY REVIEW:
I Totally fell in love with this book--there was so much angst and heartbreak yet that didn't deter me because there was this nugget of hope there would be this 2nd chance love for Cameron & Jacob . I have to say immediately you are drawn in to their love story and this is a total love story. There are many twists and turns along the way along with a subplot involving Jacob's sister who is also Cameron's BFF. I really enjoyed that...would love to read a book on them.
Anywho... Jacob and Cameron's story is one that you immediately were drawn to, one that you could feel each other's pain and wanted to hug both of them. I also wanted to drop kick Jacob in the beginning in the rear for his actions but as the story progressed, I felt so bad for him. Cameron--oh she had so many issues and I wondered if she would EVER let Jacob back in. After the beautiful summer when he finally noticed her and their magical night, everything just turned dark for her and to her, he literally left her behind. So now that he is back in her life several years later, I wondered --will she let the best thing that ever came into her life once, will she let it slip away again or will she fight for her happiness?
This is a story that has many levels and many layers. I did feel the story was rushed a bit at the ending so I hope maybe there is a book 2 that involves Jacob's sister and his best friend. If the Gods are listening, I really hope there will be one. This was one book that I have read multiple times and it is just as good as the first time I read it. The heat and the passion are so good, the sweetness and love are beautiful - oh and alpha males definitely make a good appearance so if you like that, then you will love this story. Cameron is sweet, has some trust issues and has the kindest heart which she shows when she opens up..I cant say more than that for it will give spoilers away but this is one book that you need to own!
