The Men of Honor series is one hot romance series that I have
read. The characters are interesting , the action hot and the romance is hot
/erotic. The flashbacks I didn’t think I would like but here, KC Lynn does
present it in a way that makes sense and goes into the story perfectly.
Cade and Faith are the
couple for this story -- Cade is a Navy Seal working overseas when he
meets Faith . They form a friendship. She sees he is haunted inside and she
sings to him and does things to bring him peace. Because Cade suffered a
great loss early in his life, he has given up on God and faith. That is
something Faith wants to fix—why you ask? Faith is very religious and the
daughter of a pastor. These two couldn’t be more ill matched yet they
work together. After one unforgettable
night together, Faith is kidnapped and Cade has to risk everything to get
her back. Unfortunately, Cade and his seal buddies were tortured when getting
Faith back and as for Faith……omg, what happened to her was something no woman
should go thru. The Seals that went with Cade –they form a tight bond yet Cade
pushes Faith away.
Years pass.... Cade
has his Seals brothers (and their wives/girlfriends) while Faith has her family and God keeping
her grounded. They hadn’t seen each other in years but suddenly she
moves a few blocks from Cade. Neither know about it until they bump into
each other. Cade is still very messed up by
his past. He doesn’t think he
deserves love or companionship but that doesn’t stop Faith. She still loves him
and moves slow, in order to prove to him he is worthy and deserving… OMG the
tissues were in full force during this book.
Resisting Temptation was a
fabulous read. There are so many things going on. There are taboo subjects
/sensitive subjects that are touched on in this story. I really found myself
connecting to the characters and wanting to just hug everyone . I loved how the
author made this story so emotionally deep and complex. These are strong, deep and incredible
characters. This is one book that you don’t want to miss.
