MY REVIEW:
Sir Max and Mistress Sammie—they
are the main couple for this Doms of Genesis book #7 called Resisting My
Submission. Before 9/11 Samantha
Radcliffe lived a happy and fulfilled life as a submissive to her Master and
Husband but 9/11 took that all away from her as she lost her Husband/Master
Desmond when his plane flew into the North Tower. Sammie was left to pick up the pieces of her
shattered life so she left New York ended up in Chicago where she met Mika, the
owner of Genesis, a Bdsm members only club. She couldn’t be a submissive
so she ended up becoming "Mistress Sammie".
Fast forward 16 years
and “Mistress Sammie” is still Mistress, still playing Domme at Genesis when
in comes Maximus "Max" Gunn. A
dominant to the core, Max instantly thinks Sammie is a sub. Sammie
instantly disabuses him of that notation with her wit and sharp tongue . But
something about Max brings her sub back to the forefront. You cant suppress
what you truly are and Sammie was trying to do that and after 16 years, eventually, it was all bound to rise back to
the surface and Max was the match to the flame to start it all. Max is ready to have Sammie prove who she
truly is and at the same time claim her. Something about this woman calls to
him and he is ready for what ever happens.
This was a roller coaster of
a ride, for events unfold at Genesis-some emotional , some dramatic
and some just downright scary and dangerous. Just know that throughout it all,
the cast and “family” of Genesis – which includes familiar characters
from previous books in this book, are here to see things thru. I enjoyed watching Max and Sammie fall in
love and how Sammie ripped the band-aid of her past and let Max in and their
emotional connection was awesome to read along with the heat and chemistry, the
eroticism..oh and the HEAT. This book was so deliciously
yummy good and the journey was awesome to take along with Sammi. I cannot wait
for the next book to come out.
