My Review:

This is book 3 in the True Heroes series--- David Cavello is out of the uniform but that doesn’t mean you will never get the man mentally out of that uniform. He is constantly reminded every day of the struggles and of the pain of the past of what he went thru in the war. He now suffers with PTSD and came home with problems, with demons he has yet to face. David is a man who is so beaten down, so broken yet he still tries to pretend he is still whole- I suffer with him during this story, I hurt with him and his pain is mine as his accomplishments are miracles to be savored.  In this book he literally runs into this little sassy woman named Maygen. As soon as he ran into her, David felt the black cloud lifting and he wanted to be all up in Maygen’s business and in a good way. Something called to him when he was with her.  David is undercover and when he makes contact with Maygen, he is going against everything to keep in contact with her. The insanely crazy attraction is what keeps bringing David back plus Maygen is sassy and so fierce. What can  he do, she calms his PTSD and he actually likes her? It’s a win win.  Maygen comes from a father who is very overprotective and she is just now finding her way in life and she meets this hunky alpha male-strong on alpha. She finds him so delicious and mysterious. She cant help the attraction so she decides to see what could go on between them for David sees just perfect but what do they say about perfect things? Be careful about gifts that come gift wrapped?    betrayal  deceit angst passion loss terror hopelessness hope love forgiveness beautifulness   -- all these worlds sum up this novel and I cant say enough good things about it. I don’t want to give too much away but you will never forgive yourself if you do not rush out and get this book.
