This is book 4 in the Immortal Ops series and it is one of the 2016 Anniversary Edition.
Wilson and Kimberly are put together as part of Dr. Krauss project and that project is creating the next super soldier. Wilson was captured, tortured and abused for almost two months by the elusive Dr. Krauss. This scientist is one mad and crazy freak. We finally get to see the scientist who has been giving the team such fits. Then during his captivity, this crazy scientist kidnapped another person, a woman named Kimberly and that is when Wilson met his mate.
Kimberly is one smart and sweet woman. There are some hidden depths to her yet she is the most down to earth woman you would ever find, especially considering the situation she has been placed in. When she gets around Wilson, she finds herself wanting him, needing him with this deep need and hunger. She didn’t understand why but I enjoyed the buildup in their relationship, even in the horrible conditions they existed in. Wilson put together Kimberly 1st, he cared for her and made sure she was cared for. The sex was hot and so electric. When the chance for escape came, they took it and then the story showed them on how they adjusted to life after captivity and do they or do they not come back together. There are some secrets that are had by a certain character- its not bad but it explains some things about their demeanor. To me , I found this such a fantastic book because its Wilson finding his happily ever after. After the previous books and how he was down and sad, this is one that gave me insight to him and his mate is one who will keep him a happy man, Wilson found his joy and I loved how the author wrote his story. This was the story I was waiting for-Wilson. Kimberly definitely kept Wilson on his toes and the ending was fantastic. This is one book that I was sad to finish, I loved reading it so much.
