*********MY REVIEW***********
This is the 2nd book in the Wallflowers series and it picks up where book 1 left off. This is a wonderful series about three women who are good friends and who also happen to be magnets to drama and trouble. This is also a romantic suspense story too, which also has a lot of funny as all get out humor to boot ; What you have is Number 2 of the wallflowers --sassy firebrand Sienna and Bo Strawn the sexy hunk cop. I would recommend that you read book 1 to understand the plot and characters in book 2.
These Wallflowers are fearless and of course trouble definitely finds them no matter what. That is why they need heroes around to protect them. Calla, Sienna and Poppy call themselves the Wallflowers after they are tired of being ignored , of sitting in the background and not having anyone special in their lives. Calla found love with Devin in book 1, now in book 2 its Sienna’s turn with Bo. Bo is a local cop who has had a few dealings recently with the ladies and out of the 3, Sienna was the one who caught his eye. Yet they danced around each other and the feelings that arose in them and the sexual tension between them was hot and intense. He is a guy who likes things by the book while Sienna is a fly by the seat person and she completely disregards any warnings Bo gives her and goes about what she and the Wallflowers want to do and that causes friction between them. And that ends up causing problems between them to the point there is a huge blow up…She drives him crazy with her stubbornness and independent streak while he drives her crazy with his logical mind and by the book manner. Oh I love the interactions these two have and all I can say is two words for you- dude ranch.
This is a must read story because it is so special and the characters have this bond that comes across while reading. There are moments that tissues will be needed and that’s so wonderful, because it flows with the story and the characters. I will say there is an epic cliffhanger which will be picked up/addressed in the next book and I am dying for that book already…This is a must read. I love Ms. Smith’s writing for its fresh, intense, fiery and beautiful . These Wallflowers are chains that must never be broken.
My Rating: 4.9 stars *****
