ARC Review of Stay Close (For You #1) by Alexa Riley

'Stay Close' by Alexa Riley is a spin off from the For Her Book book—this is book 1 in the "For You" series. This is the story of Penelope and Ivan.
Penelope is the daughter of Ryan and Paige from His Alone series. She has a twin sister, Pandora, and she is  very close to her sister and her parents. She comes from a family that shows loves and gives love readily. She is innocent and very loving.  She is in her last year of high school and she wants to meet a man who will love her as much as her dad loves her mom.
Ivan is this silent and tough  man that their parents know. He shows up one day out of the blue. Ivan has worked as an informant for Paige for years and had wanted out. Paige had agreed but wanted one last favor before he got out. That last favor was acting as bodyguard to Penny. Once he sees Penny, he knows he can’t leave her. Suddenly the alpha male comes out toward Penny and only Penny.  She’s his one and only …Insta-love hits and hits hard but doubt also swirls for Ivan. He knows he isn’t deserving of her yet he still wants to be here for her.
Penny finds Ivan attractive and as soon as she sees him, she is entranced. There is huge attraction and she finds herself falling for him fast.  Their relationship moves at warp speed but what a great story this is for a novella. Ms. Riley packs a huge punch with this novella. There is so much story with this novella. I also loved meeting Pandora, Penny’s twin sister and getting to know her. I am eagerly anticipating her story. This was a beautiful love story between Ivan and Penelope, of how love blooms when least expected. It was awesome to meet Captain and Paige’s children and to see how they are doing. This was a great introduction to the For You series.
