OMG another Irish Savage Mafia hero! And his Sassy lady…I am totally hooked!! And I need more –just like a candy addict needs their Twix {smiles}.
In book 3 in the Savage People series, we have #SavageSavior—in this book, we have the story of Carter and Quinn. Carter has been stalking/creeping on Quinn for quite some time yet he hasn’t made his move yet , well in this book, he finally makes his move. Oh Carter is one hot Irish Hunk and he has been on my radar for some time…I have been panting for his book and when I found out this was his book, I was super excited!! The sexual heat, the sexual thrill and action, the angst—it so lives up and then some…oh my!!
Carter’s thing is for blondes but when it comes to Quinn, whom happens to be a red-head, he makes the one exception for her. There was something exotic and erotic about her that caught his eyes and kept them on her always. He wants Quinn all to himself but things in his past keep him from claiming Quinn as his wholly. So he keeps her and himself at a distance until Quinn has something happen that makes Carter see that Quinn needs his protection. Will Carter finally wake up to the fact Quinn needs him , not just him for protection, but him as a man? Will he set himself free from his past to be there for her or will be stay in the shadows ? Quinn knows Carter is there, she can literally feel him there , watching her. She wants him but things in her past make her leery of reaching out herself to extend an olive branch to help him along the way. She presents a public persona but in private that is not who she really is. With Carter, she knows he would never hurt her. With him, she knows she can be herself but she feels maybe she is too broken, has too much baggage to be the woman for Carter. Can these two souls ever end up together or will their pasts, as broken as it has been, ever heal enough to allow them to have a future together or will the evil hunting Quinn prevent them from getting together?
Oh man, this book is high in kink and in sex. The violence does not detract from the storyline, it enhances it. Carter and Quinn are two people that I really felt were perfect together. Their love wasn’t perfect but it was all them. They had been thru so much but it was what made them work that much harder for their slice of happiness. Oh and the heat, the sensual plays will have you needing a fan to cool down afterwards. There is a lot going on so don’t worry about thinking things will be slow, things move at a fast past. The ending was beautiful yet short. That was my only small compliant. I would have liked more of an ending but overall, it was perfect. I do hope there is more in the Savage People series because I love my Irish Mafia peeps!
