Kate Canterbary
just did me in with this book. I needed TONS of tissues and I just was left in
awe after reading this book. WOW! The blurb doesn’t do this book justice. It is
just the tip of the iceberg for the book/story. This is book 6 in the Walsh series and the story
of Erin, the youngest of the Walsh siblings and her journey of coming home and
finding “home”.
There were hints in the
previous books that Erin never felt like she belonged and there were hints
about a rift between her and the older siblings or a certain sibling. Erin
had a difficult and very traumatic childhood and her way to handle it all was
to move far far away from her family.
In this book, we finally get
to know the youngest sibling. We see that she is a grown woman but also still very much a girl who hasn’t
had a chance to mature. You will see what I mean when you read this emotionally
charged and stunning story. Erin ‘s story will amaze you, will have you in
tears and will at times want you to throw your kindle. There is intense
passion, angst and love. Oh the love is deep.
I don’t want to give too much away but she is such a complex woman-child
who feels like an outsider among her family yet she tries to make that
connection. On that one visit home, her entire life changes and she meets the person
that will change her life-this is where I have to tell you- the book will go
thru various ups and downs, highs and lows. The man who is her perfect mate
completes her, understands her and oh my gosh, the sex and the heat is AWESOME.
I have to say, the angst is hard at times but I understood why. Erin’s guy is definitely
an alpha type. He is handsome and oh he is super sexy in a rugged, manly way
with a bit of a geek to him. He knows when to push and when to pull her close.
There were times I wish he pulled harder but that was me being super impatient
. Oh I want to say more but I want to keep this ******spoilers-free****
Kate really put her heart and
soul into this book and I could tell. I really enjoed the story so much , I had
to go back and re-read this book 5 more times and even then, I was in awe. I
enjoyed seeing previous characters and I CANNOT WAIT for Riley’s book. He is up
next!!!
My Rating: 5.0 stars *****
