ARC Review of Empire (Cartel Book 3) by Lili St Germain

This book is the final book in the violent, angst –ridden, gritty, wild ride that finishes Mariana, Dornan and John story in the trilogy that has seen a lot go down. Their relationship was all so complicated and complex yet one that gave me chills to read.
There has been so much action, so much intensity and angst, grittiness and pain that has gone along with this and this final book in the trilogy doesn’t disappoint. Mariana is so strong, knows what needs to be done yet when she sees Dornan spiraling out of control, she feels fear and still some love for him. But her heart lies with another and that is why she is scared. If Dornan where to find out, all heck would break loose. Things reach max level craziness in this book so be prepared. Mariana and John have this connection that is so different than when she was with Dornan…and my heart breaks so bad in this story. The ending feels unfinished so I hope there is more of a story down the road for Mariana-=- for there is many twists and turns in this book that leaves her story open ended. What an epic ender.
