My Review::
This was a wild, emotional
ride that is so dark yet so seductive, gripping and wild. Sweet Jayne is a
standalone novel—it is very dark, it is warped, yet at the same time
seductive and intriguing. You will read this book and will be questioning everything up until the
very end –things will have you going back and looking at it from every angle
but that is because this author is so very good at what she does. There is
romance, suspense, mystery, and touch of horror as well. Now there is romance,
and I know when you read this story you, like me, will be going HOW, WTH, why??
But there is romance and there is many layers but that is what makes this story
oh so good. There are many different people involved so be prepared to think it
out before you make any judgments—the people involved are Kasper, Donovan and
Logan. Then add into the mix the one person who ties these people
together—Nadia Jayne .
Donovan and Nadia have this
complicated relationship because he is her step-father. He met and married her
mother and their relationship is complicated. She doesn’t know what to make of
him beause he came into her life when she was already in her teens. He is a
very rich man. Then she witnesses an abduction that leaves her reeling even 10
years later.
Kasper is the abducted girl’s brother. He
thinks Nadia knows more than what she is telling. For the last 10 years he has
spent that time hating her and spending that time searching for his sister.
Suddenly Nadia shows up as his boss’s fiancĂ©e.
Logan is Nadia’s fiancĂ©
but no one really knows much about their relationship. He seems very
controlling of her. There is so much that people do not know about them. Logan
is possessive and controlling and seemingly not good to Nadia. Nadia seems to be playing a
game but what game is it?
There are so many storylines within one story going on and they all seem
to be involving Nadia. Nadia’s story really me in tears. She went thru so much
and my heart broke for her. Why did she have to go thru what she did. I was at
times screaming at my kindle, I had to put my kindle down several times because
either it was driving me nuts the suspense or the craziness was so good, I was
literally going insane. There is so much going on, I have to say this was one
seriously sexy good book. This was one awesome book that K Webster had going
on. There was several sex scenes that had me reaching for a fan because I was
melting from the inside out. WOO. This book will have you questioning everything
until the very end. That is the sign of a great book and this is it.
My rating: 4.8 STARS *****
