What a lovely, beautiful
story that takes you on an emotional journey into Tyler and Ella love
story. They have known each other for years- Tyler is the best friend to Ella’s
brother while she is the baby sister to Tyler’s best friend. She has always had
a crush on her brother’s best friend. She thought Tyler would see her, would
one day fall in love and they would have their HEA but that didn’t happen. One
night, while she was drunk and staying at Tyler’s parents’ house, she thinks if
she just “proved” to him how she loved him he would fall in love with her ,
things would fall in place. Well, that doesn’t work-the night ended horribly.
Then the next morning Tyler cut and ran but not before things were said. From
that point on, Ella realized her dream of being with the man she loved was
never going to happen . She gave up and moved on and they both made sure they
never crossed each others’ paths again for several years until…
Ella ends up hospitalized on
a tropical island after someone attempts to rob her and there is a hurricane coming her way. Avery Dare is scared
for her friend so she begs her brother, Tyler to please go rescue Ella. Only
Avery doesn’t know the secrets both have been holding back from her . But Tyler
realizes its time to fix the mess between them and heads to rescue Ella. Only
when he gets there, there is more to the attempted robbery and Ella being hurt—she
is being stalked and why? So there is a hurricane coming, Ella is being stalked
and on top of that, the unresolved past between them is rising up like the dead
–What are they to do? The passion, the angst, the fear and oh so much more had
me captivated. I loved working out who the bad guys were and there were several
parties involved. Then the emotional journey the MC took really took a lot of
twists and turns. I loved the ending and am saddened that this appears to be
the end of the Dare series but can’t wait to see what next up by this author.
My rating: 4.5 stars****
