The author is semi new to me and
this is a semi new series to me , as well. This is the Gansett Island Series and this is book # 14 in
the series. Yes. There are mentions of previous characters in this book but it
felt like a standalone in the series.
In this book, we
meet Erin , who has come to Gansett Island after a horrible tragedy had gone on in her life. Her
good friend recommends the island and here she is. Then she ends up taking the
lifehouse as her place to live. She ends up feeling better than she has felt in
a long time. Then she meets Tobias aka “Slim” . He flies
planes and he spends his Summers on Gansett Island and his Winters in Florida. They had a beautiful time and soon it was time
for Slim to leave ; during this time, we see Erin has slowly gotten better from
the tragedy that ruled her life. Slim wants all of her heart not realizing that
he already has it and that he , too, has lost his heart to her. It takes him
realzing something for him to come back to her sooner rather than later.
I Loved the message of this book and how Erin and Slim completed each
other . They made this was wonderful story.
