Distraction: The great intensity, novelty, or attractiveness of something other than the object of attention.
Sven is a man who takes pride in his ability to separate himself from his emotions. He's a man who knows who he is and where he’s going in life, a man who needs no one, because needing someone, anyone, is a weakness.
His past taught him love isn’t enough.
Maggie wants the happily ever after, but has never picked the right men, or stuck around long enough, to build a forever. It’s always been easier to get out early, before emotions make things messy.
When Maggie wakes up naked in Sven’s bed, with no memory of the night before, these two must be honest about their feelings and face their fears, so they can build a future together.
Will love be enough for them to get their happy ending together, or will a threat from outside strike them down before they ever have a chance?

My Review:
I have been eagerly awaiting Sven’s story in the Underground Kings series and it did not disappoint. He has hidden depths and he is broody, moody , sexy, and very alpha. When it comes to Miss Maggie aka “Mags” he is downright DOM on her bottom. He doesn’t know why she calls to him when others haven’t.
Sven is a club owner in Las Vegas and is one of the best guys out there- consider him one of the good guys in the seas of bad. His life is changed when a woman comes into his club claiming her sister was drugged and beat up in his club. Well, you have to know that so didn’t go over well with Sven—and when he saw Maggie well he knew there was something about her that set him off. Maggie was in Sven’s club to make the person who hurt her sister pay and pay dearly. She saw Sven and something about him called to her –now she knew she was going to stir up some trouble doing what she needed to do to make things right but she didn’t care. These two people were on a collision course for love and they didn’t know it yet.
Maggie is a voluptuous lady who has had grief in the past about her looks yet Sven never gives her any grief about her size—oh don’t get me wrong, he gives her grief about other things but never about her looks/size- he looks like he wants to eat her up. Maggie is a mass of contradictions- she is outgoing and sassy yet at times she has a fragile core about her and she is hesitant about how to engage Sven due to the overwhelming attraction. Also she has issues in her past which she is ashamed of bringing to Sven’s door.
At the same time Sven and Maggie are trying to figure out what their relationship is and where things will go- there is a sub story going on that involves past characters from the Underground Kings of past. Danger will surround Maggie and Sven-It is a race against time to keep Maggie safe and it was a guess almost until the very end to figure out who the mole was in the group that worked for Sven. There is a good amount of humor and oh some tears that had me grabbing my tissues but the ending was good. I would have liked things to be more rounded out but overall this was a great story and I cannot wait for Justin’s story—that sounds like it will be awesome –and as a reader, his story was somewhat woven into this story. WOO HOO, I am psyched for his upcoming book.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****
