Hey y’all,
I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just
outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving
in trucks.
I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes.
Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was
something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful
to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my
passion.
Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing
to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy

My Review:
What an emotional roller-coaster of a story! Full of angst, heartbreak, love, determination, anger, passion and never-ending love. I could feel the emotions all in this story and the characters came off as very believable as compared to other stories I have read in the past.
Jackson finds out he has a 6 yo son named Ryker when he ended up meeting him and that shook him to the core. But did he let that stop him-NOPE! He immediately wanted his son in his life and he did everything he could to make him happy and safe. Ryker was the result of a one night stand with this woman named Rhonda. Because of how Ryker came to be with him, Jackson needs answers so he starts searching for his son’s mother. In the meantime, he enrolls his son in school and his son happens to be in his friend Colt’s sister , Kennedy Cross room.
Kennedy has had some issues in her young life so she approaches everything in her life with control. She is a bit anal with how she uses Post It notes everywhere. Kennedy is unable to have children in her life due to a medical issue so she gives all the love in her heart to “her kids” in the classroom. Her kids love her and thrive. When Ryker comes into her life , in her classroom, she gives him a lot of love and Jackson sees this. Soon the chemistry between the two is off the charts and thru the roof.
Jackson has some issues of his own- along the lines of mental –he can be manic and he can be low- will this cause problems with his burgeoning relationship with Kennedy ? Or will the newly forming bond of love have a chance to grow and thrive and let the two become a family of 3 ?
I found this book to be so emotionally wonderful and I kept having to reach for tissues because there were so many tearful scenes in the book but also so many funny, humorous scenes – There is one with Ryker in Kennedy’s classroom that comes to mind . Kids say the craziest things LOL. I have not read any of the author’s books before but this was fantastic and I will read this author again.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****
